Framework Principles
CorSet is a management oriented framework. It does not only help to make better analyses but also to set proper functioning of processes, services and whole management system. Therefore it is based on seven basic principles. Thanks to those principles it is consistently linked throughout all its books. There are key general principles that influence the whole framework and have one thing in common – manager’s approach in an organization.
Principle of services |
A service is one of the key components of CorSet. Services are important both for customers and management. Customers evaluate the quality of services as well as their standard. From the management’s point of view services allow managing processes and responsibilities inside the organization. The key management parameters relate to services. Public services are the key outputs for public sector organizations. There is no organization which carries out 100% of their activities, processes and services being essential for the organization’s functioning. The range of bought goods and services – supplied by external subjects – is individual. CorSet among other things helps to determine externally provided services and to coordinate their suppliers. |
Principle of the customer |
Every service has its own customer as well as provider. Knowing the customer of a service or a process is one of the key knowledge for their management. This is the only way to define requirements on quality and effectiveness. Only the knowledge of the customer allows defining the purpose of services. |
Principle of strategic management |
Strategic management is the base of modern management of every organization. It helps the organization to aim set visions and targets. |
Principle of life cycle |
Services and resources have their life cycle and a specific way of management and management methods apply to its each phase. CorSet framework contains all phases of services’ and recourses’ life cycle. |
Principle of production system |
Services providing is accompanied by resources consumption (financial, human, information resources etc.). All this generates costs. |
“No-measurement-no-management” principle |
No organization can get by without knowing the key effectiveness indicators helping the management to conduct an organization to plan and to make decisions. CorSet helps to better define basic set of information for service and resource management. |
